OUR MISSION - Set Captives Free
In September of 1978, Pastor Gene and his wife, Betty Jo, were called to Rosenberg with a clear mission: “To set the captives free!” Through the years a vision has developed through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It has two facets: “to be and to do”
– To be the body of Christ, and members in particular (1 Cor. 12:27) the Word made flesh dwelling among men (Jn. 1:14)
– To do the works that Jesus did, and greater works (JN. 14:12) to preach the gospel to the poor heal the brokenhearted, to preach the deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. (Lk 4:18-19)
